Rebecca is based in Brighton, UK. Whilst growing up, she developed a natural appreciation and talent for art and design. This led to extending her studies after compulsory education to City College Brighton & Hove (now MET) for two years, completing two BTEC's in Art and Design, and then a further three years studying a BA (Hons) Fashion and Textile Design with Enterprise at the University of Portsmouth.
After graduating from her BA (Hons), Rebecca worked in Kensington for a year. This began as a three month Marketing and Communications Placement leading to a full time position as a Marketing Assistant at L'Estrange London. She then decided to pursue an MSc in International Marketing at the University of Sussex, graduating with a distinction.
Ever since 2013, Rebecca has undertaken numerous internships to explore an area which she finds both interesting and dynamic. These placements fuelled her decision to progress into digital marketing and communications as a career. She has also been praised by her drive to learn and actively contributes to her workplace as soon as she starts, often simplifying processes and highlighting areas of improvement.
Rebecca has previously worked within retail and is very much a 'people person'. She has been rewarded twice for excellent customer service and for 'going the extra mile' in a previous part-time supermarket postition. Rebecca builds and maintains working relationships throughout her life, providing an essential skill; she has remained in contact with all of her internship providers, whether in a professional or personal capacity, proving an excellent relationship whilst interning and beyond. Previous work experience has provided Rebecca with the skills needed to succeed, in addition to her University experience whilst working to a tight deadline within a team and individually.
Rebecca is skilled in digital marketing, social media, retail, advertising, PR, graphic design, website editing, Adobe Creative Suite, research, communications, brand development, copywriting, e-commerce, customer service, retail, PPC, SEO, CRM, analytics, email marketing, marketing strategy, Microsoft Office, HTML, WordPress, management.
When she is not studying or working, Rebecca likes to read classical literature, visit historical sites and fundraise for charity. To date she has taken part in the Cancer Research UK Race for Life 5K, in addition to a Spinnaker Tower Abseil for JDRF, a Type 1 Diabetes charity, collectively raising over £2,000.
